A MIGHTY CLUB IS
FORMED . . .
The Petoskey Mossback Base Ball Club was formed in 2009 by base ball enthusiasts wanting to bring the origins of today's modern game back onto the field. It's more than the old fashioned uniforms and equipment used by players in the 1800s; its' the sprit, sportsmanship, etiquette and some of the outlandishness that charactized the country and the game during this era.
Base Ball fans (Cranks) have the opportunity to follow the Mossbacks throughout the season and gain a better appreciation for the history of base ball in its formative years. The Mossbacks have learned to display their ginger, swing the timber, field well struck balls with their bare hands and play by a set of rules with a close resemblence to today's game, but with plenty of differences to make it interesting.
All games are free admission and cranks of all ages are welcome to come enjoy the fun. Check our shedule and find a match or two to come watch history in the making.
